DistrictOne faces negative Ethos reviews over shutdown
A reviewer on Ethos with a score of 1465 gave DistrictOne a negative verdict, pointing to a disappointing conclusion for the once popular project. The review attracted 59 upvotes and one downvote on the platform.
The main review focused on the sharp contrast between the early excitement on the network and the eventual closure of the platform. "The hype was real, but the ending was a huge disappointment," the reviewer wrote. They highlighted severe user frustrations, noting that people spent months farming the native token and dealing with "constant technical issues, only to watch the project shut down."
The reviewer further added that allegations of the team selling their own holdings while users continued to farm made the situation much worse. They concluded their assessment by stating, "Hype fades. Reputation stays."
Based on the collected user reviews, DistrictOne operated as a SocialFi application on the Blast network, where users were required to complete social tasks and stake the OLE token.

Other users on the Ethos platform share this strongly negative sentiment. The DistrictOne project currently holds a total of eight negative reviews, with zero positive and zero neutral verdicts. Multiple high scoring reviewers brought up similar allegations about the development team selling tokens and providing poor technical performance.
A reviewer with a score of 2097 recalled the early popularity of the application but criticized the final outcome. They wrote that DistrictOne "was one of the best known projects on blast back in the day" but claimed that "in the end they let their users down in the most pathetic way." This reviewer stated that the website "lagged, couldnt handle the load, and in 6 months they never managed to fix it."
Another user with a score of 2004 criticized the team for a complete lack of accountability regarding the token. They wrote that it was eventually revealed the creators were "actively selling OLE while the community was staking theirs and had it locked for 3 months." This reviewer also claimed the team simply "turned a blind eye" to the community complaints.
Finally, a reviewer with a score of 1771 described the platform design as "just mindless button clicking social fi" and noted they would avoid the team if they ever return to build a new protocol.
