Spot Ether ETFs Extend Inflows as ETH Tests $2,800
Institutional demand for Ether is intensifying, with spot exchange-traded funds pulling in fresh capital for a third straight session and corporate treasuries adding to their positions. According to spot exchange-traded fund flow data, U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded roughly $162 million in net inflows on September 22, extending an inflow streak that has carried cumulative flows into the funds well past $130 billion.
BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust led the day with about $88 million in net inflows, followed by Fidelity's Ether fund with roughly $34 million. The steady bid from these regulated vehicles has coincided with a firmer market. Ether traded near $2,760 after climbing about 14 percent over the previous week, testing resistance around $2,786 before stalling just below the $2,800 mark.
The ETF flows are only part of the accumulation story. BitMine Immersion Technologies, the largest corporate holder of Ether, disclosed that it added 27,562 ETH on September 22 as part of an ongoing buying program. Treasury purchases of this kind move coins out of circulating supply and onto long-term corporate balance sheets, tightening the float available to traders even as demand rises.

That combination, ETF inflows plus treasury accumulation, is the mechanism institutional buyers have used to build exposure without competing in retail venues. Each spot ETF share is backed by real Ether that an authorized participant must acquire, so sustained net creations translate into steady spot buying. When that demand meets a shrinking free float, the effect on price tends to compound.
The move is not without caveats. Ether has repeatedly stalled at the $2,800 level, and a three-day inflow streak, while encouraging, is short by historical standards. Flows into spot ETFs are volatile and can reverse quickly on a single risk-off session, as they did earlier in the year. Observers tracking the funds note that the current advance is driven more by institutional positioning than by a broad retail return, which can leave the bid thinner than the headline inflow numbers suggest.
Still, the direction of travel is clear. The overall net asset value held in U.S. spot Ether ETFs now stands near $179 billion, a level that would have been hard to imagine when the products launched. For a market that spent much of the year in Bitcoin's shadow, the renewed institutional appetite for Ether marks a notable shift. The open question for traders is whether the funds can absorb enough supply to finally carry Ether through $2,800 and beyond.
