Bali Crypto Festival Doubles Down on Institutions
Coinfest Asia returns to Bali on August 20 and 21, expanding across five Melasti Beach clubs and adding a dedicated institutional track as one of the region's largest crypto festivals courts stablecoin desks and tokenization players.
Now in its fifth year, the event will run as a single integrated venue spread across five beach clubs along the Melasti coastline, organizer Indonesia Crypto Network said. Since its 2022 launch, Coinfest Asia has drawn more than 15,000 attendees and over 400 speakers from 6,000 companies across 90 countries, according to BitPinas.
Three tracks, by intent
The 2026 program is split into three intent-based tracks rather than a single agenda: a Builders track for product testing, technical workshops and hackathons; a Traders track for market outlooks, trading demos and strategy sessions; and an Institutions track built around curated meetings and regional infrastructure case studies, per BitPinas.
The institutional push is the headline change. Planned sessions cover stablecoins in Asian corporate payments, stablecoin readiness workshops, tokenization and tokenized money market funds, alongside go-to-market briefings for Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and India and a closed-door Institutional Summit powered by ICEX Group, according to CoinReporter.

Who's confirmed
The speaker roster spans infrastructure, custody and Big Tech. Confirmed names include Nansen CEO Alexander Svanevik, Trust Wallet chief executive Felix Fan, Base's APAC and Singapore lead Nick See Tong, Plume CEO Chris Yin, Acheron Trading's head of trading Jack Yark, Fasset co-founder and CEO Mohammad Raafi Hossain, and Google Web3 and AI partnerships lead Inaki Moreno.
Why it matters
The lineup mirrors where Asian crypto is heading: stablecoins moving into payments and settlement, real-world-asset tokenization gaining pace, and builders, regulators and traditional finance sharing the same rooms. Organizers say the intent-based format is meant to put those conversations in front of the right audiences rather than a single main stage.
