ETH Munich Restarts as a Monthly Ethereum Meetup
Munich's Ethereum community is back online. ETH Munich holds its seventh meetup on Wednesday, September 23, and says it is relaunching as a monthly series after a long dormancy, according to the group's event listing. About 20 attendees had registered ahead of the evening, with the exact address released only to approved sign-ups.
Same format, monthly cadence
The evening runs 18:30 to 21:30 and keeps ETH Munich's established shape: one or two focused talks, informal conversation, and drinks. Speakers are still to be announced, but the group says the sessions will cover Ethereum roadmap updates and real use-cases. The venue is Pato Club, a golf-simulator space built inside former horse stalls in the Reitschule building near the English Garden.
Who's behind it
The restart carries Foundation backing. ETH Munich says it is supported by the Ethereum Foundation's Ethereum Everywhere team, the initiative set up to connect and strengthen Ethereum communities worldwide through meetups, workshops, and physical hubs. Across 2026, Ethereum Everywhere has been standing up monthly meetups and community centers globally, including the first dedicated Ethereum hub in Asia.

Headline sponsor Bitvavo, the largest EUR spot exchange, is licensed under MiCAR by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets, giving it EU-wide operating access, and serves more than two million users across 400-plus assets.
Why it matters
A single monthly meetup is not a market event. But a Foundation-backed, recurring gathering returning to a major European tech city is a low-noise signal that grassroots Ethereum organizing is being deliberately rebuilt after a quiet stretch, and that regulated European exchanges are meeting builders where they gather, not only where they trade.
ETH Munich #7 takes place September 23 in Munich. Registration is subject to host approval.
